The Lady Falcons finished the regular season with a 13-9 record, giving them the #12 seed in the 6A District 3 Playoffs. On Monday night, they traveled to play #5 Northeastern (York), a team that finished their season with a 20-2 record.
With an upset in mind, Crest came out firing, with Allie Metzgar nailing three three-pointers in the 1st quarter. Kaila Francis added 6 points, and suddenly, the Falcons were up 15-10 after the opening frame. In the 2nd quarter, the offense slowed down, giving Northeastern a chance to tie the game 21-21 at intermission.

The 3rd quarter brought more scoring, as Crest received point contributions from five players. Scoring 15 points in the quarter, the Falcons took a slim one-point lead into the 4th. In the final period, Northeastern showed why they are a twenty-win team and scored through a balanced attack to break away. In the game, the Bobcats hit seven threes, opening up the floor for their final offensive assault. As a result, Cedar Crest’s valiant effort to pull the upset fell short.

Francis led the Falcons with 17 points. Metzgar finished the game with 12 points, the result of four three-pointers.

Cedar Crest finishes their season with a 13-10 record.
