Voting will remain open until Thursday at 10 pm.
While athletes can be nominated multiple weeks, the winners will be removed and updates will be provided as the season progresses.
While this may be a vote and emotions can run high, this is intended to bring attention to some of the best performances from our local student-athletes.
Nominations, which are made working with the schools, are listed below in alphabetical order.
Please read about each nominee, celebrate their accomplishment, and then go vote who you feel is most deserving of this week’s honor.

Female Nominees
Marissa Battistelli (Palmyra / Fr.) – Golf: The freshman made history as Palmyra’s first-ever female golfer to advance to the PIAA State Championships. Battistelli secured her spot after surviving to the 3rd playoff hole at Districts, where she finished 9th overall.
Lyndsee Bomgardner (Northern Lebanon / Sr.) – Volleyball: The senior setter continued to lead the Vikings to one of the best records in District 3. Last week, Bomgardner tallied 27 assists in a 3-0 win over Lancaster Mennonite and helped her team complete another sweep over Donegal, improving to 12-2.
Bryn Brandt (Cedar Crest / Fr.) – Golf: The freshman claimed the District 3 Girls Golf Championship on Saturday, finishing 3 strokes ahead of the field. Over 36 holes at Honey Run, Brandt shot +3 and also helped Cedar Crest to a 2nd-place team finish.
Lilja Davis (Cedar Crest / So.) – Field Hockey: The sophomore has anchored the Falcons’ defense during a challenging stretch of games. Her steady play was critical in a 3-2 win over Donegal, and her effort and leadership have kept Cedar Crest competitive throughout the season.
McKenna Kantner (New Covenant / Fr.) – Soccer: The freshman continued her impressive season with 4 goals and 3 assists over four matches last week, leading the Flames to wins over York Country Day, York Christian, and Mount Calvary. New Covenant now stands at 11-3-1.
Emma Shirk (Annville-Cleona / Sr.) – Soccer: The senior reached a major milestone, surpassing 100 career points while helping the Dutchmen secure a spot in the LL League playoffs. Shirk has 26 goals and 6 assists this season, continuing to drive Annville-Cleona’s offensive success.
Male Nominees
Parker Bartal (Lebanon / So.) – Soccer: The sophomore midfielder played a key role in both matches last week, controlling play in the midfield and scoring the first goal in a Senior Night win over Annville-Cleona. Bartal’s effort and leadership have been vital for the Cedars’ late-season push.
Brinley Donmoyer (ELCO / Jr.) – Football: The junior quarterback accounted for both Raider touchdowns in a 21-13 road win over Octorara, including a game-clinching 64-yard run with just over a minute remaining. Donmoyer’s clutch performance helped boost ELCO back into the District 3 Class 4A playoff picture.
Logan Francis (Annville-Cleona / Sr.) – Golf: The senior won the Lancaster-Lebanon League Individual Championship on Monday, then led the Dutchmen to a 2nd-place team finish at the District 3 Championships, where he finished 4th individually to qualify for States.
Travis Furmanski (Cedar Crest / Sr.) – Cross Country: The senior captured the Paul Short Invitational title at Lehigh University, running the fastest time across three divisions that featured nearly 1,100 runners from across the region. Furmanski’s winning time of 14:53.8 highlighted his dominance on a major stage.
Gavin Meson (New Covenant / Jr.) – Soccer: The junior forward had an explosive week, scoring 5 goals and adding 3 assists across three matches—all wins for the Flames. Meson’s offensive surge helped New Covenant improve to 11-4-1.
