Saturday, December 21

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Annville-Cleona 39, Hamburg 27 – Kendall Cooper’s 20 points, half of which came in the 1st quarter, helped pace AC to the victory in The Barn. Annville-Cleona (6-3) will be off until next Friday when they host their Holiday Tournament.

Cardinal O’Hara 58, Lebanon 52 – Facing a ten point deficit at halftime, the Cedars continued to battle throughout the 2nd half. Kailah Correa & Lili Harrison each finished the game with 18 points. Olive Brandt also had 11 points. Lebanon (5-2) will next play on Friday at their own Holiday Tournament.

Wilson 48, Cedar Crest 43 – Kaila Francis scored 22 points to lead the Lady Falcons in what was a close loss to the visiting Bulldogs. Cedar Crest (4-5) will be back in action on Friday at the Lower Dauphin Holiday Tournament.

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Governor Mifflin 54, Lebanon 40 – Following Friday night’s game against Cedar Crest, the Cedars were back in action on Saturday afternoon. Robert Santiago led Lebanon with 12 points & Alex Wolfe scored 9 points, but it was not enough. Lebanon (4-6) will travel to Donegal on January 3rd for a non-league matchup with the Indians.

Blue Mountain 48, Northern Lebanon 37 – Brady Krall led the Vikings with 15 points, but a strong 2nd half by Blue Mountain helped them pull away from their hosts. Northern Lebanon (2-6) will welcome Kutztown on Monday night.

 

WRESTLING

ELCO went 5-0 at the Raider Duals with wins over Exeter, Schuylkill Valley, Manheim Central, Lancaster Catholic, & Conrad Weiser.

 

 

 

Friday, December 20

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lancaster Catholic 40, Northern Lebanon 38 – Trailing by 9 heading into the 4th quarter, the Lady Vikings made it a tight game down the stretch before falling to the defending State Champs. During the comeback attempt, Olivia Shutter scored 15 of her 26 points. Kasey Weimer finished the game with 10 points. This was NL’s first loss of the season, as they now sit with a 7-1 record.

Manheim Central 48, ELCO 43 – Kenzie Eckhart led the Lady Raiders with 20 points, while Maddie Stout also reached double figures with 10 points. ELCO (5-3) will have off until next Friday, when they are set to face Shenandoah Valley at the Pine Grove Holiday Tournament.

New Covenant 45, Harrisburg Christian 27

BOYS BASKETBALL

Cedar Crest 66, Lebanon 53 – Danny Speaks scored 22 points to lead the Falcons to the win in this rivalry game. Joining him in double figures was Isaac Wolfe, who hit three three-pointers. Cedar Crest benefitted from eleven players registering points in the game. For Lebanon, freshman Derek Franco led with 14 points, and Ihab Abdallaoui scored 10 points. Ten players scored for the Cedars. Cedar Crest (5-1) will be back in action next Friday in their own holiday tournament. Their first opponent is Palmyra. Lebanon (4-5) will host Governor Mifflin on Saturday.

Manheim Central 51, ELCO 42 – Austin Smith led the Raiders with 12 points as a solid team effort helped keep the game close against a tough MC squad. Fellow junior Josiah Hayes finished the game with 9 points. ELCO (4-5) will have off until January 3rd when they will meet Pottsville at Martz Hall.

Thursday, December 19

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lebanon 58, Cedar Crest 34 – A strong 1st half by Lebanon set the tone for the game as they led Crest 32-14 at the break. Kailah Correa scored 23 to lead the Cedars to victory. Also aiding the effort were Olive Brandt, who chipped in 12, and Lili Harrison scoring 10. For the Lady Falcons, Elli Malinoski scored 10 points, and Kaila Francis scored 8. Lebanon is 5-1. Cedar Crest is 4-4.

Pequea Valley 53, Annville-Cleona 41 – A strong 2nd half by PV sank AC’s chances at a road win. In the game, Kendall Cooper led the Dutchmen with 22 points. Annville is now 5-3.

Annville-Cleona 58, Pequea Valley 48 – Elisha Slabach poured in 37 points to pace the Dutchmen to victory. Jon Shay added 15. Annville is now 6-2.

Wednesday, December 18

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Northern Lebanon 41, Blue Mountain 23 – Leading the Lady Vikings was Olivia Shutter, who drilled four three pointers on her way to a team high 18 points. Kasey Weimer also registered double figures with 12 points. Northern Lebanon is now 7-0 to start the season. They will host Lancaster Catholic, the reigning 3A State Champ, on Friday night.

Penn Manor 66, Lebanon 12 – Jaden Mongkon-Gill won his match by pinning his opponent.

Manheim Township 52, Cedar Crest 24 – Eddie Nunez, Nolan Brubaker, & Quentin Martin each pinned their opponents as Crest battled Township.

Annville-Cleona 60, Pequea Valley 5 – Blake Leitz, Jordan Nickens, Jaxon Speece, Oliver Funck, & Devon Englehart each won contested matches as the Dutchmen easily handled Pequea.

Tuesday, December 17

GIRLS BASKETBALL

ELCO 44, Annville-Cleona 22 – The Raiders benefitted from three double digit performances. Maddie Stout scored 12 points while Kenzie Eckhart & Ava Seifert each scored 10 points. The Dutchmen got 12 points from Kendall Cooper. ELCO is now 5-2. Annville-Cleona moves to 5-2.

New Covenant 47, West Shore Christian 24

Cedar Crest 57, McCaskey 42 – Kaila Francis led Crest with 21 points as the Lady Falcons broke away in the 2nd half to defeat McCaskey. Alison Groff added 14 points. As a team, Crest was 14-15 from the line. Their record now stands at 4-3.

Lebanon 60, Penn Manor 43 – Olive Brandt led the Cedars with 23 points, many of which came from the five three pointers she hit. Lili Harrison connected for 18 points, while Kailah Correa had 12 points. The Cedars are now 4-1.

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

ELCO 63, Annville-Cleona 50 – The Raiders got 26 points from Kaden Shultz-Tillison as they defeated a persisten AC team. Micha Gray scored 12 points & Josiah Hayes provided 11 points in the winning effort. For the Dutchmen, Elisha Slabach scored 20 points, while Jon Shay scored 17 & Anthony Pena scored 10. ELCO is now 4-4, while Annville is 5-2.

New Covenant 49, West Shore Christian 46 – Lincoln Hess led the Flames with 19 points. Alex Hart had 8 points & 13 rebounds. New Covenant is now 4-3.

Penn Manor 65, Lebanon 54 – For the Cedars, Robert Santiago scored 20 points, while Manny Suarez joined him in double figures with 10 points of his own. Lebanon is now 4-4.

McCaskey 65, Cedar Crest 62 – The Falcons could not overcome a great shooting night from Jaloney Porter, as the sophomore guard dropped 35 points to lead the Red Tornado. RJ Young & Isaac Wolfe each scored 16 points for Crest, who moved to 4-1.

Lancaster Country Day 73, Northern Lebanon 62 – Riley Messinger & Brady Krall each scored 16 points, but it was not enough to withstand a strong 2nd half by LCDS. Andrew Via also scored 11 points for the Vikings. NL is now 2-4.

Lancaster County Christian 26, Annville-Cleona 25 – Kendall Cooper led the Dutchmen with 11 points. Annville is now 5-1.

Lampeter-Strasburg 58, ELCO 48

Northern Lebanon 44, Donegal 20 – Soairse Phillips scored 18 points to lead the Lady Vikings who improved their record to 6-0.

Lower Dauphin 29, Palmyra 21

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Annville-Cleona 63, Lancaster County Christian 44 – Jon Shay & Elisha Slabach each scored 22 points as the Dutchmen improved to 5-1.
